- What makes the partnership work: a local tradition of community collaboration; active involvement of local employers; flexibility to accommodate changing labor market; strong leader and popular Advisory Group.
Partnership highlights
- Surveys of businesses and Literacy Task Analyses conducted by WAGE allow services to be customized to workforce needs.
- More than 51 percent of the Advisory Group are representatives of businesses; the group’s monthly meetings have become “the place to be” to keep informed of local events and connect with colleagues.

- WAGE blends best practices from adult education, workforce training, and economic development.
